Tehachapi Wine and Cattle Company’s 2005 Primitivo competed with several hundred entries in this very prestigious wine competition and won a “Silver Medal”.
The largest competition of American wines in the world featured 4,235 total entries with the Zinfandel category having the largest number of entries. Judging took place over four days by 60 professional judges who had no knowledge of the wines they were testing other than their category.
We are very proud that our local wine was judged superior to several hundred other very established wineries. We sincerely wish to thank all of our friends and customers for their constant support and encouragement. The future looks bright and please stay tuned.
We have retained a very small amount of the 2005 release and are currently taking orders for a special commemorative and collectible bottle of our 2005 release. It comes in a beautiful cherry wood box with wine accessories (see photo below).
